NOTICE INVITING TENDER FOR SELECTING CONTRACTOR

FOR 

Reconstruction of Chancery and Residential Blocks for High Commission of India at 2 Jalan Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur

 

 

The President of India acting through the High Commissioner of India Kuala Lumpur requests proposals in sealed envelopes from appropriately qualified and adequately experienced Contractors for Reconstruction of Chancery and Residential Blocks for High Commission of India at 2 Jalan Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur. The proposal duly completed in prescribed format as per Notice inviting Tender (NIT) along with Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of RM 1,160,000/- or Bid Securing Declaration (BSD). 2. The objective of this Notice inviting Tender is to select an appropriately qualified and adequately experienced Contractor by the High Commission in Kuala Lumpur for Reconstruction of Chancery and Residential Blocks for High Commission of India at 2 Jalan Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur. 

3. Location and description of Property: Plot area of 1.3 acres at 2 Jalan Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur, 

4. Scope of Work:

• Demolition Works 

• Construction of Retaining Wall 

• Piling Works for Chancery Building, Cultural Centre and Residences Building 

• Sub Structure Works for Chancery Building, Cultural Centre and Residences Building 

• Super Structure Works for Chancery Building, Cultural Centre and Residences Building 

• Extemal and internal Finishes for Chancery Building, Cultural Centre and Residences Building 

• Furniture, Fixture & Equipment

• Mechanical. Electrical and Plumbing Work

• AV, IT and Security Works 

• Soft Landscape 

• Hard Landscape 

• External Works including road and drainage, water reticulation, sewerage, etc.

• Other Works detailed or implied in the Tender document necessary in order to complete the Works 

 

5. Period of Completion: 18 months from the date of signing of the Agreement. 

 

6. Tender: The bidding will take place in two stages:

(I) Stage-l: Qualification of firms as per eligibility criteria as per Notice inviting Tender (NIT) would be assessed

(ii) Stage-ll: Eligible firms would be issued with tender documents for submission of lump-sum financial bid. 

 

7. Site visit & Pre-bid meeting: Physical visit to the site is advisable to have a general idea about the extent of works required and the amount of involvement by the Contractor. Eligible firms would be invited to a site visit and pre-bid meeting before Stage-Il tender documents are issued to them, the date, time and venue of which would be informed separately. 

 

8. Submission: The proposals (bids) should be submitted in two parts: () Technical Bid, which should contain the documents establishing the technical eligibility of the applicant and other documents required establishing sound financial condition, as per terms & conditions of this tender; and (ii) Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of RM 1,160,000/or Bid Securing Declaration (BSD), which should be as per the format given in this tender.
